Let’s all pretend we’re 15 years old for a moment shall we?

In response to the original post:

Dear S.

Wow! You sure do know how to pick an audience. Fantastic! Weeee!

Dear Robin and Reb,

1)	My name is spelled Robbin, with two B’s. My friends, people that care for me and take an interest in my life, take the few seconds to learn how to …and remember how to … spell my name.

First let me state that this "problem" that I have- or that Chris and I have- is in your head/s, and has always been. I have not had a or/any problems even when you insisted there HAD to be a problem and continued to tell me that there was a problem. The last email I had was a letter in which we were making plans- or so I thought- then two days later, Im assuming because I didnt email you back in your allotted time frame (and one of those days was Easter and the other was my mother's birthday)I received an email telling me to "have a nice life." Wha?

2)	You’re right you didn’t get back to me in my allotted time frame. Nine months. Yes, NINE. When you are unable to find the time to e-mail, comment, call, or spend even a few moments of time with someone in NINE months, then there IS a problem. Whether you realize it or not. I am not a high-maintenance friend. Insular at best and hermitish at worst, it takes only seconds every few months to keep in contact with me. I know that in the last nine months you have had some contact with your other ‘friends’. It’s too bad that you consider dropping us a note or returning a call another weight in your busy pile.

So - no, I am completely unaware of what "the problem" is other than you continuing to insist that I wont admit to "the problem" because I am passive aggressive as you have done once again and most recently in Reb's oh-so-(not)-anonymously pointed post. Um kettle, youre black.

3)	Are you talking to me? Are you talking to Reb? I’m confused … oh I get it! You’ve gotten us mixed up. Happens all the time. Because we look and act SO MUCH ALIKE. We’re the same person. We’re Twins! Just like Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Oh and by the way-- I dont even know what the hell a filtered post IS- let alone how to set one up. I did make a private post about my father getting back in touch with me that I didnt really want or intend to share with the world--but if you'd like I will unprivatize it to "prove it" to you. Is that what you mean by filtered?

4)	See post script.

As I tried to explain in an email and now will once again, I will apologize that we have not had very much time for fun with ANY of our friends, and am also sorry that you have interpreted our crazy lives (of which I have tried to explain that we are taking over a business, running another business, freelacing, remodeling, and organizing two benefits at the moment) as some sort of personal attack on you. However, I will not apoligize for some sort of conflict that you created, all on your own that has nothing to do with us. I will also not apologize for outing you here either, as I specifically requested that this not enter the world of live journal to spare our mutual friends from landing in the middle - a request you selfishly ignored.

5)	I NEVER let this enter the world of ‘live journal’. Ever. And you KNOW that. Why would I? No one wants to read this garbage. Someone’s pants are on fire.

I will remove you from my friends list- I didnt know it was such a big deal to you that I left you on it and in fact-- didnt even know we hated eachother now. Why didnt you just remove me? Its ok with me if you want to hate me- or us- or whatever... I dont understand how we ended up on the black list anyway, but I dont like it and am done.

6)	Project much? I never said I hated you. I believe I have been exceptionally, perhaps surprisingly, nice, patient and kind these last however many months. I have never directed one mean barb towards you up until now. Not one. I have never had a harsh or unkind word about you. I have never talked about you (with the exception of telling one person I missed you), or this, to our friends. Or ANYONE. If that is somehow hatred … I honestly don’t understand the Bizarro world you’re living in.

I choose to remember laughing in your car til my sides hurt and the support that you gave when I needed it the most. I wish good luck to you both.

7)	Good for you. I wish I could remember the support you gave me when I needed it most … but unfortunately, you didn't ...

ps ~ If a friend of mine asked me for business advice, and they often do, I honestly would be very, very flattered. I would not harbor such feelings of ill-will or anger towards said person. Shame on you.

$ & $

I just finished filing my taxes. I neither owed ~ nor was owed ~ any $. However, the cost of efiling was $24.95.

I'm considering lowering the prices of my art auctions on ebay. I already feel I list them at ridiculously low prices, however ... ebay fees are a killer! No matter what the closing price, the higher I open an item for, the higher the fees I pay to ebabybay. And maybe lower prices would take the idea of value out of someone's head. i.e. I've a painting listed now with an opening bid of $24. To me that painting has a value of about $150 ~ but perhaps someone sees the $24 and thinks ... oh well this must be worth only $24. Whereas ... if I were to list it at like $9.99 ~ in the lower ebay fee price bracket ~ they might not assign a subconscious mental value to it as surely it must be worth more than $9.99

... ponder ponder

exciting stuff people, exciting stuff

We had SUCH a nice weekend. Involving non-stop music from KEZW, which made me quite giddy, cookie baking, egg dying, painting (me), easter egg hunting (reb), candy eating, cooking, giggling, games of Jenga and Life, and more painting. Photos later.

Reb has noticed that I have this weird sort of holiday/board game fixation. Is it a holiday? Bring out the games! My favorite game growing up was Clue. And now we have this Harry Potter version of it which I LOVE. But ... unbeknownst to me all these years. (I guess my Mum was kind). I totally suck at it. I'm a really, really, really lousy liar and when I know something ... or think I know something ... my face gets all twitchy and smiley and pleased.

KEZW played lots of 70's this weekend, which was keen. I'm always super nostalgic about everything, but lately I've been obsessing about the 70's. I want a record player and some macrame for some big bushy hanging ferns and a bunch of jumpsuits.

Oh and yes this little girl is for sale. And now I'm stuck with the part as they won't let me return it. >:|

So now I still have the slowest connection ever (45.2 today which is actually pretty good) BUT I can get online now anytime I want for as long as I want and don't have to worry about paying an arm and a leg. Yey!

I am very behind on e-mails and all sorts of stuff ~ and I missed a million people's birthdays I think. I'm sorry! Gah.

mmm ... what else?

ohhhhhhhhh ~ Nino got in a fight maybe with a fox last night. We're not sure what happened exactly. But I was in the kitchen and heard a yip.howl sort of thing and said 'Reb do you hear that?' she said 'oh yeah the television bla bla'. And then I heard it again, and then again. I went outside in a panic because the closest thing I could relate it to was the noises made when our neighbors Scottie got hit by a car :( So am outside and hear it again from over by the garage (where we keep food for Nino) but I couldn't see anything and yelled 'HEY!' into the dark ~ not sure why that was my particular reaction. And then Reb (who’s come outside too) goes 'oh my god NINO!' and Nino and a fox go flying across the street together. Thank goodness there wasn't a ton of traffic. Reb went chasing after the fox and chased him around the whole block. Nino took off. We really don't know what happened ... we didn't find any blood. We've been keeping Nino's food in an overturned recycling bin to protect it/him from the snow and rain we've been having lately. We think maybe one of them surprised and caught the other one inside the bin and whichever of them couldn't escape.

so that's that story.

You know what I've been thinking and giggling about lately?

In Analyze This ~ when Billy Crystal's character meets all the family bosses at the end of the movie and hears someone say the familiar che sta facend and so mimics it by saying easter weekend! Ha I love that part.

Isaac Asimov once said something that should be especially meaningful for you: "The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka! I have found it!' but rather 'That's funny . . .'" According to my analysis of the astrological omens, your imminent destiny should lead you to some fascinating adventures that begin with "That's funny." Be hungry for what piques your imagination and tickles your love of mystery. Attune yourself to anything that seems out-of-place or oddly juxtaposed.

At first I didn't know what this meant ~ but I have found the out-of-place ~ and now I do ...

but what is my imminent destiny?

Der Fuchs und die Katze

It happened that the cat met Mr. Fox in the woods. She thought, "He is intelligent and well experienced, and is highly regarded in the world," so she spoke to him in a friendly manner, "Good-day, my dear Mr. Fox. How is it going? How are you? How are you getting by in these hard times?"

The fox, filled with arrogance, examined the cat from head to feet, and for a long time did not know whether he should give an answer. At last he said, "Oh, you poor beard-licker, you speckled fool, you hungry mouse hunter, what are you thinking? Have you the nerve to ask how I am doing? What do you know? How many tricks do you understand?"

"I understand but one," answered the cat, modestly.

"What kind of a trick is it?" asked the fox.

"When the dogs are chasing me, I can jump into a tree and save myself."

"Is that all?" said the fox. "I am master of a hundred tricks, and in addition to that I have a sackful of cunning. I feel sorry for you. Come with me, and I will teach you how one escapes from the dogs."

Just then a hunter came by with four dogs. The cat jumped nimbly up a tree, and sat down at its top, where the branches and foliage completely hid her.

"Untie your sack, Mr. Fox, untie your sack," the cat shouted to him, but the dogs had already seized him, and were holding him fast.

"Oh, Mr. Fox," shouted the cat. "You and your hundred tricks are left in the lurch. If you had been able to climb like I can, you would not have lost your life."

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm

Siegfried ~ thee muse

King of the Snails!
sweet little thing is only $4.50

***
I'm here. Pouting. DSL of course still not working and internet access is slim. I ordered some part off of ebay, that hopefully will arrive this week, and hopefully will solve all of my problems. If not I'm just going to have to cancel the service. If I don't cancel it within 30 days (and it's been half that already) I'm obligated to pay for a whole year. God, what a joke. Ordering DSL was the worst mistake ever. Technology is my enemy. And if I do have to cancel the service I am SO getting rid of my earthlink account. Of course I have no idea about other dial-up companies but at this point I think <s>the devil</s> aol would even be better than the crappy service and connection I have.

Otherwise ... just painting, painting, painting. Am working on a commission that is crazy! Good crazy, but crazy! Very challenging. I hope it turns out well. Keep your toes crossed!

I am also poorer (financially) than I ever thought possible. Am considering selling my blonde daughters off to a harem ... oh wait no I don't have any blonde daughters. And if I did I certainly wouldn't sell them. The Pageant circuit maybe ... ;)

Stressing over moving. We are so unprepared. Reb's been working on the house (i.e. painting), I've been cleaning and getting rid of stuff, which at this rate could take another 5 years. I do not want to work with a realestate agent at all. The house next door to ours sat on the market for like 2 years. They finally sold it for super cheap and now it's a rental. I'm thinking of contacting one of those 'we buy ugly houses' companies ... I don't know. We'd take a loss on $ but I can't wait around for 2 years for our house to sell, and keep it spiffy looking, and ferry out 4 cats, 1 dog and 2 snails everytime a buyer wants to look at the house.

I have decided that if we hate Portland I want to move to Bisbee. I will continue to paint and Reb will convert old airsteams (heck maybe we'll live in one too) and we will live happily ever after.

~ The End ~

ps ~ I miss everyone terribly!

I am totally Pee Em Essing

GaRarrrr!

I didn't feel like painting tonight, but I did. I didn't feel like changing snail food, and I didn't. I felt like eating some of Reb's icecream, and I did.

Thanks to Reb, my colour technician, and paper_goldfish, my supplier, my hair is now blue-black.

It's weird ... I was expecting it to be SHOCKING but it's just sort of ... natural. When I think about it, it probably is natural, or the closet thing my hair has been to natural since grammar school.

makeup ... ? uh yeah, I couldn't really bothered

I can't believe I'm making her so upset! How can pink possibly make someone have such a grumpy old face?

And she got embarrassed and looked ashamed and then away.

If someone makes poop face towards me is it not my right to recognize and acknowledge said poop face?

I came home with not nary a bunny. If I haven't even put my old stuff up yet do I deserve to buy more? No!
