Terry Schiavo's feeding tube(s) was removed and she essentially starved to death.
I wonder how many people realize that ...
Her vegetative state was originally caused by a potassium imbalance due to anorexia ~ she was then essentially starving herself to death. |

Cooney Island!
So this was actually inspired by my big CAT Wile E., who I am convinced is part Raccoon.
I have been staying up all night giggling, just thinking about different Cooney Island scenarios. I am so easily amused. :D |

| $ & $ |

I just finished filing my taxes. I neither owed ~ nor was owed ~ any $. However, the cost of efiling was $24.95.
I'm considering lowering the prices of my art auctions on ebay. I already feel I list them at ridiculously low prices, however ... ebay fees are a killer! No matter what the closing price, the higher I open an item for, the higher the fees I pay to ebabybay. And maybe lower prices would take the idea of value out of someone's head. i.e. I've a painting listed now with an opening bid of $24. To me that painting has a value of about $150 ~ but perhaps someone sees the $24 and thinks ... oh well this must be worth only $24. Whereas ... if I were to list it at like $9.99 ~ in the lower ebay fee price bracket ~ they might not assign a subconscious mental value to it as surely it must be worth more than $9.99
... ponder ponder

I ate one of these today. I always feel so sad about peeling and eating dyed easter eggs. I hate to say goodbye to them when they're so pastel pretty.
edit: a glance over my friends' page
~ to all my sweet sweets that love candy and dolls and old things and forests and fae and art and wonder.
I love you and am so grateful for you all.

We had SUCH a nice weekend. Involving non-stop music from KEZW, which made me quite giddy, cookie baking, egg dying, painting (me), easter egg hunting (reb), candy eating, cooking, giggling, games of Jenga and Life, and more painting. Photos later.
Reb has noticed that I have this weird sort of holiday/board game fixation. Is it a holiday? Bring out the games! My favorite game growing up was Clue. And now we have this Harry Potter version of it which I LOVE. But ... unbeknownst to me all these years. (I guess my Mum was kind). I totally suck at it. I'm a really, really, really lousy liar and when I know something ... or think I know something ... my face gets all twitchy and smiley and pleased.
KEZW played lots of 70's this weekend, which was keen. I'm always super nostalgic about everything, but lately I've been obsessing about the 70's. I want a record player and some macrame for some big bushy hanging ferns and a bunch of jumpsuits.
Oh and yes this little girl is for sale. Meow. |
